Andrew, Horace, and Thomas Rushing fought in the 23rd N.C. Andrew died at Gettysburg on July 1st, 1863. Horace was sick, and Thomas was wounded at Chancellorsville and neither made the trip to G-burg. Very interested in your family, mine, and the history of the 23rd N.C. Would love any info on my direct ancestors or the 23rd N.C. Thanks for everything!!!

William Agustus Byers & Mary Jane Stewart are g grandparents you have the wrong names on your sight. I documnets with correct info. Mosella Marsh Byers Fox was their daughter.

You have the right dates on your sight; just the wrong names on some. I have census and death certificates with correct information on them. My grandfather was William Dalton Byers son of William Agustus Byers and Mary Jane Stewart. Mosella Marsh was his sister.

My GGG Grandfather was Williams son William Childers Fox, His Son my GG Grandfather Elisha Calvin Fox fought in the Civil War and was wounded in the Battle of Bentonville. His son My Great Grandfather was William Ivey Fox

I am Noah Fox's great-great granddaughter, Rosco Fox's great-granddaughter, and Wilbur Fox's granddaughter.

Very interesting and informative. I am very curious about the history of Rosco and Mattie's farm in El Reno, Oklahoma--who owned it first? When did they move there? I wear Mattie's wedding ring as my own, and it is very precious to me. My mother (Wilbur's daughter) lives on the farm, and I visit the farm often.
