Hi, Gem. As someone who has published a stockmarket newsletter each day for the last eight years, I have two suggestions that I hope you will take constructively. Your Elliott Wave knowledge appears impressive, but it would make more of an impact on readers if you 1) include a chart or two, and 2) summarize your outlook for the short, medium and long-term. Elliott Wave guys are almost Babel-onian in their day-to-day differences of opinion and their helter-skelter interpretation of correction patterns. I’m a believer in EWT, but I am looking to you to convince me that at least one EW theorist knows where the hell we are, and who can tell a trend from a correction.

Best,

wow Silver,

I have been tracking gem-x and he is a 'gem'

The dude knows his stuff in detail I like to avoid...so I can keep a clean head and surf the equity fields.

I tossed short @3pm and he went flat cash.

My TA shows a number of OEX issues are still requiring more downside onto historical monthly supports....them big boats have lots if inertia and are hard to stop.

Gem-x,

Fantastic call today. You nailed it as you called the
turn in the 1760 or the 1768-1782 range. I'm not real
Ewave savvy. I'm tring to learn as much as I can.
When you refer to the ending diagonal are you
referring to the down movement over the last week or
the up ove we had at the end of the day. I ask b/c
you say it signifies a strong reversal. Thus are you
saying we started that reversal today or are you
looking for a strong reversal down off the up move we
had in the last hour.

Tell me if I'm wrong... you are looking for 1) Wave 4
up to 1835-1845 and then Wave 5 down to 1739-1750 or
2) break through 1835-1857 rapidly and continue up.
If the answer is #2. How high do you think this wave
goes up before a pullback?

Again, I'm trying to learn so I really appreciate your
posts. I guess in the shortterm while I'm trying to
learn, it might be best if you just tell me day by day
scenarios. I.e. I'm not into any overnight holds,
thus if you like scenario #2 above... if we break
through 1835-1859 very strongly... at what level do
you suggest I close it out on Monday, or should I just
wait till the close to close it.

Thanks again,

Jeff

Looks like the Trash Can Police crawled out and started papering the market near the close to keep the Sheeple in the market.

You are quite an interesting trader, and I'm glad you are educating me in the market!

Thank you, thank you!
