We were planning to attend the race meeting last year to find that it was cancelled due to the drought. Lets hope that 2020 is a better year for all.

Website is exciting and informative! We are ex-Territorians - BTDT( been there done that) AND yes, we are returning for this 100 year event! Time, money and transport areproving a challenge for all, including growing- up children - Uni, senior high school and full time workers! Bringing the horses and new friends to meet with the old friends. Love the atmosphere of all that dust, the donkey hot water 'systems', the camp fires and bet those cold winds are still the norm??! Sounds like it will be a bit different for all the tourists but it won' t change the experience

A few us came out from Mount Isa Netball Association in 2008 to run the bar for this event! Had such a great time that we will be back this year to serve up plenty of drinks to the politest bunch of cowboys (drunk or sober) I have ever come across.
