We lost our Great Dane October 2009, age 8, due to natural causes. And we lost our Rottie in April 2010 due to liver failure. We currently have 2 female labs, aproximate ages are 11 & 13, & a 15-year-old male daschund/beagle mix. None of the 3 likes to play. They've been there, done that. Now they rest, sleep, eat, greet us when we come home & listen for any person in the kitchen who is probably getting a human snack. [We share with the dogs.]

My mother brought my two babies to you last summer a Chiweenie named Sassy and a small white with brindle spots Terrier named Sweet Pea for you to find homes for. My greatest request was that they only be adopted together and Mom said you found a wonderful home with an elderly couple. The wife had a stroke and her doctor suggested a small pet as Pet Therapy these days is very popular. The reason you got them wasn't because we didn't want them, in fact, quite the contrary we loved them very much, but I lost my job and became homeless because of it for a few months, therefore my babies needed more than I could provide at the time. A day hasn't gone by that we don't wonder how they are and if they are as good to their new family as they were to us? I just wanted to see if they were OK because I feel so guilty about having to let them go as I know they, like Pookie from your website don't understand. I can only hope they knew how much they were and still are loved. I am hoping you will be able to ease my mind. My mother lives in Wynnewood and she and my young son Dylan (Sassy was his girl who we adopted from our own shelter here) brought them over the middle to end of July 2009. My son and I think about them daily and wonder how they are. Please let me know if you can. I LOVE YOUR WEBSITE IT IS AWESOME, I HAVE BEEN CRYING AND LAUGHING, IT IS AWESOME AND SO SWEET. We are animal lovers. Keep up the good work and would like to talk to you abut your shelter, I am interested in maybe doing something similar.

I am in Vet. Tech classes at OSU, and my mom/dad adopted a dog from Blue Hawk.

I am looking for a small/medium dog for my mother-n-law.
She is in her 80's, need one that is house broke and good w/kids since my son is over there all the time. Do you still have Cocoa or Tippy?

Possibly fostering a dog.

Wondering what the requirements are for fostering. I have two cats and a large friendly dog as well as a 1 yr. old. We just moved into a much larger place with a yard and Zeus wouldn't mind a friend I think, we are regulars at the Norman Dog Park and he does well with others.
