Today, March 6, 2014, marks one year since Alvin died. It is a very sad day, not only for Alvin\'s family but for the many, many fans around the world who will always remember the man and his music. My late brother, Herb Staehr, wrote a book chronicling Alvin\'s career, \"Alvin Lee & Ten Years After-Visual History.\" The book is a wonderful memento, and many of you have a copy. Music has shaped my life. Most of my heroes, besides my father, were Rockers. Alvin Lee was bigger than any of them for me. I remember when he took the stage. He was the most self-assured, confident performer I\'d ever seen, and I have seen most of the huge bands through the years. He stepped up to the mike and growled lowly,
\"Love me...Love me...love me...\"
stepped back, shook his hair, and as his perfect bangs fell back into place he leaned forward, hit the opening chord to \'One of These Days\', and stepped back to the mike.
I was lost in his spell for the next hour and half. It\'s been there ever since.
Thanx for the music and the memories Alvin. I know those you left behind will always miss you. Rock on ....and on...

I felt really close to Alvin through his music. I tear up when I hear \"Motel Blues\" or \"The Bluest Blues\". I feel fortunate to have seen him perform a number of times. The one that stand out was when he came to Norman with Michael Martin Murphy. It was in the old field house, very close venue, small crowd. But Alvin played an incredible encore, just he & Big Red. I was 10 feet away from him, he played his heart out for us and I will never forget.

So sorry to hear of Alvin Lee\'s passing....just found out. When I was a teen growing up in the 70\'s, I was obsessed with him!!!! He was sooooo HOT with that raspy voice and slick guitar...I had a big poster of him on my wall. My favorite rock star!!! RIP guitar god...I will never forget you.

Alvin Lee is my hero and the most original and gifted musician of all time. Throughout his more than 40 years of playing he made immense contributions to modern music. Aside from being an amazing songwriter; as a guitar player he always displayed true god given talent and raw energy. HIs passing is a enormous loss to everyone who knew him or followed his music. My deepest condolences to his family and close friends. As true with all great musicians his message and attitude live on through his music and his fans. Keep on rockin Alvin !

Sat here listening to \'Watt\' - one of the first albums I bought as a youngster in Wales. Just found out about Alvin Lee\'s passing. RIP Mr. Lee - you are one of those that turned me on to music and simply made my life better. I shed a tear for your passing as the world is a colder place without you.

Because our physical bodies cannot transcend the bounds of space, without other forms of matter to protect us, we are constricted physically.
But our minds and thinking is limitless.
Hence, once we metamorphosis into our immortal selves, after death, i.e., release from the body; distance becomes inconsequential.
