The lawful standpoint of what is offered at RSE is the REAL version.

Ever wondered why RSE never produces anything of long term, lasting value? When you cut through all of the illusions the answer is written down in black and white on the piece of paper I received from the lawyer of J.Z. Knight, via the Attorney General’s office, in response to an objection I lodged against the RSE organization.

Mr. Kaukl, of Puyallup states:

“The Teachings are not intended, and certainly not guaranteed, to develop occult
powers. The Teachings are intended to allow the student to create an harmonious relationship with God and the student's place in the universe, to the end that in daily activities at school, work, or play the student will achieve a sense of inner fulfillment and equilibrium. While the Teachings include instructional exercises, or disciplines, those are merely tools that some students find helpful and others do not. For a student at the School to complain that the disciplines "don't work" makes no more sense than for, say, a Catholic to complain that no actual transubstantiation appears to occur during the Eucharist, or that despite conscientious religious practice he does not feel a
state of grace.”

It could be well concluded that the lawful standpoint of an organization is the REAL version of what is on offer for when it is all said and done the law is the supreme authority that governs RSE. The above statement would be a complete outrage to those who sincerely wanted what was presented in the arena instead of the real presentation behind closed doors.

I would not consider that one student has passed through the doors of RSE and considered that the objective of the school was anything other than to produce personal, sustainable paranormal abilities.

Mr. Kaukl in fact states that there is no INTENT for the teachings to produce this. The best one can hope to obtain from RSE involvement is nothing more than is offered by a conventional religion……..a warm, fuzzy feeling of knowing one is in direct communication with god.

This statement expressed is obviously fully supported by the owner of the corporation Ms. J.Z. Knight as Mr. Kaukl is employed on her behalf. It can be concluded from the above that Ms. Knight has no INTENT for the teachings to produce paranormal abilities either.

Mr. Kaukl in fact also indicates RSE is in fact a religious organization. His words:

As a threshold matter, it is my informed opinion that Ms. Knight's School, at which the Teachings of Ramtha are presented, is religious in nature and hence beyond the regulatory authority of the Attorney General. Although Ms. Knight does not represent that the School is an established religion, the body of Teachings developed through her over the last several decades and regularly presented at the School represent, collectively, a spiritual belief system related to man's place in the universe and his relationship with God. As such, I believe the advocacy of the Teachings are clearly protected by Article 1, S 1 1 of the Washington State Constitution, which provides in relevant part: Absolute freedom of conscience in all matters of religious sentiment, belief and worship, shall be guaranteed to every individual, and no one shall be molested or disturbed in person or property on account of religion; but the liberty of conscience hereby secured shall not be so construed as to excuse acts of licentiousness or justify practices inconsistent with the peace and safety of the state.

I am enclosing a copy of the entry concerning Ramtha's School of Enlightenment appearing in the Encyclopedia of American Religions, 2OO2/2OO3 edition. This work is a standard reference resource found in virtually every public research library. It is edited by J. Gordon Melton, Ph.D., an ordained Methodist minister and director of the Institute for the Study of American Religion in Santa Barbara, California, and a research specialist associated with the Department of Religious Studies a the University of California. Dr. Melton is a nationally recognized expert on American religious movements and has authored more than 25 books, including encyclopedias, handbooks, and almanacs on American religion. As will be seen, Dr. Melton characterizes the Teachings a unique metaphysical system of thought:
We say that Ramtha's Teachings are metaphysical in nature because they address the fundamental questions about human existence and the human person, about our destiny and origins, about the nature of good and evil, the soul, death and life, the world, and our relationship to others...Ramtha uses the concept of the Observer effect from quantum physics to explain his concept of consciousness and energy. He also uses the concept of God as creator and sovereign to describe the human person as consciousness and energy.”

If the lawful authority presiding over RSE considers it a religion and wins in court (this attorney was involved in the Jeff Knight court case) then in fact it can be concluded that RSE is OFFICIALLY a religion and is grossly misrepresented to be anything other in the arena.

People give tens, or even hundreds, of thousands of dollars to attend this manure heap of deception. It is piled high and deep…. PhD. The hypocrisy of the presentations given by Ms. J.Z. Knight are evident.

That warm, fuzzy feeling of being in communication with god keeps the customers rolling in the door.

Re: The lawful standpoint of what is offered at RSE is the REAL version.

...wow

don't religions have to be non-profit?

Re: The lawful standpoint of what is offered at RSE is the REAL version.

So let me reiterate this just so it "sinks" in - according to the law as interpreted by JZ's attorney, RSE IS a RELIGION?! And it's copyrighted? God is copyrighted?
*cough*
Oh why did I not do my homework.

And Ramtha (TM) is the wind? LOL. (I think something 'stinks' - perhaps the great "R" is just a, excuse my language, big phart? - and that's the 'wind' of which JR speaks.

Stay away from the greasy foods; it might help, Judith.

Re: The lawful standpoint of what is offered at RSE is the REAL version.

(glad to see y ou posting christel)

and that lawyer of deceit...
what a crock of &^%%&
he HAS to defend the common law.
And now she has him talking in
ramtha-ese jargon.
her money will go so far.
JZ....
we will be on top in the end.
you are sick, and twisted, and have used
the students and law accordingly.
Truth will prevail.
and the thing is, YOUR truth,
has changed over the years.
Get it right, girl.
NO lawyer, can ever protect you
and your lovely assests,
to your grave.
Just give your children the clues.
they see you for what you are.
be done.
be gone.
I hope, just an "the ram " said,
you will die peacefully in your sleep

Re: The lawful standpoint of what is offered at RSE is the REAL version.

Apparently in the USA it is not necessary to be non profit in order to have religion as a defense mechanism under law. (I am an Australian citizen)

Here are the words of Mr. Kaukl regarding the court proceedings regarding Jeffrey Knight:

Because I have already participated in an extended judicial proceeding wherein complaints essentially analogous to those of Ms. Ricke were advanced, resulting in the finding by an experienced and respected judge that the Teachings are essentially religious in nature, I am confident that a similar result would eventuate in any Consumer Protection Act litigation.

I should add that at the time of Jeffrey Knight's court proceedings (I think it was 1992) very few people were speaking up against the way RSE operates so the parameters operating at the time were to some degree different.

I recollect someone on this website stating that to prove fraud there must be evidence of the INTENT to defraud. It appears to me the INTENT of Ms. Knight is made quite clear. I have the paperwork and it is also available on public record.

There is a big discrepancy between what Ms. Knight officially offers and what is presented as the offer in the arena.

Re: The lawful standpoint of what is offered at RSE is the REAL version.

Mr. Kaukl defense that J.Z. Knight is not a fraud on the basis that she was scientifically tested.

His words are:

"Moreover, since the trial of In re Knight, objective scientific evidence has been developed that Ms. Knight's channeling activities are not fraudulent, which I gather is also one of Ms.Ricke's complaints. As noted in the extract from Dr. Melton's Encyclopedia" in 1996 a team of 18 scholars, including representatives of various scientific, psychological, sociological, and religious disciplines, subjected Ms. Knight to objective testing, including the monitoring of her autonomic nervous system while channeling. The results were dramatic and unequivocally ruled out any possibility
of conscious fakery, schizophrenia or multiple-personality disorders. While channeling, Ms. Knight's brain waves shifted to a state typical of the
deep-sleep state in which the lower cerebellum, the seat of the subconscious, controls her bodily actions. This scientific conclusion merely corroborated the opinions of many others, formed from direct observation, that Ms. Knight was not engaging in fraud. As actress Linda Evans, who as a long-time student at the School became a close friend of Ms. Knight, put it:

In the beginning I was totally suspicious. Being an actress and understanding acting, I wanted to see if this "channeling" was trickery. I wanted to know if I could be fooled so that I could protect myself. If JZ is simply impersonating the Ramtha character,
she is the greatest actress in the world. She should be in Hollywood where she would be at the top of the profession."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

His arguments presented ruling out fraud are actually speculating upon the existence of an intangible being RATHER than on the basis of the contradiction between the official religious offer and the publicly presented paranormal offer.

The test results are a long way from proving the existence of "Ramtha." Certainly there is an observable phenomenon but the mechanisms that create that phenomenon are unknown.

It is quite possible from the delivery presented at RSE that “Ramtha” could be coming from the subconscious mind of JZ Knight herself.

An invisible being animating the body is fertile ground for manipulation as no one can actually substantiate the being’s existence.

In effect JZ holds the position of a church priest as the mediator between the congregation and god. I have never encountered anyone else who can “see” Ramtha.

Re: The lawful standpoint of what is offered at RSE is the REAL version.

------------------------------------------------------

I personally would never have attended a religion.

Australia in general is not a religious country. I was not informed when I attended that the most I could hope to get out of RSE was "a state of grace" because I had a communion with god.

The price is not right for what is officially on offer. I would conclude no one would be willing to pay that price for the above stated.

I was never informed in any arena presentation, or any other RSE related material, that the Teachings were not intended to produce occult abilities and I do not know anyone else who has been either.

I do not consider anyone would take the offer and pay that price if the most RSE offered was no more than conventional religion.

Re: The lawful standpoint of what is offered at RSE is the REAL version.

Mr. Kaukl is nothing more than a spin doctor. Ramtha's SCHOOL of Enlightenment spells out what it is. It is intended to be an educational institution complete with teachings and disciplines. On the Yelm Chamber of Commerce website RSE is listed under schools. RSE chose that category.

No need to fall for Kaukl's bs, we did that already!

Re: The lawful standpoint of what is offered at RSE is the REAL version.

Attn Kaukl wrote:

I may be in the minority here, but I find the Catholic's question equally as valid and by no means ludicrous. (No offense, Joe )

I'm actually quite surprised at the weak arguments this lawyer makes. Linda Evans, come on!! (and I have nothing against Linda Evans personally).

Besides, the scientific testing that was done on JZ was by no means randomized or controlled or peer reviewed or repeatedly tested under different circumstances. It helps to know how to read a study and what criteria is necessary to give a study validity. May as well use the old argument that just because ramtha's existence can't be disproved, means he obviously does exist! Yeah, that makes sense.

Re: The lawful standpoint of what is offered at RSE is the REAL version.

JZ controlled who tested her.
How about an OUTSIDE group of testers?
I think that would be more valid than JZ
paying J Gordon Melton, et al.

and yes....Mr Kaukl, the new age
lawyer spin doctor.
Spin it in whichever direction JZ wants you to.
The spin, legally, several years ago, is
incongruous to what it is now.
before: not for profit church.
now: for profit self help group.
Nice......

If the teachings are indeed religious,

I would think that her/r teachings certainly qualify to have: molested or disturbed in person AND PROPERTY on account of religion!

Re: The lawful standpoint of what is offered at RSE is the REAL version.

Christel posted, "The Teachings are intended to allow the student to create an harmonious relationship with God and the student's place in the universe, to the end that in daily activities at school, work, or play the student will achieve a sense of inner fulfillment and equilibrium."

THANK YOU for revisiting that !!!!
If only we could deliver this to every current student to read for themselves. This is a DIRECT contradiction (lie) to the story we are sold at the ranch...that we only have to apply the disciplines as we are taught and they are designed to unfold us into God-woman, God-man realized in the flesh !

I hardly call that achieving a SENSE of inner equilibrium and fulfillment. The claims go beyond that.

Where's poster XYZ (I know I typed that wrong) ???
Show that to your girlfriend ? It's from JZ's attorney !!!! MAYBE it will plant a seed, or detonate a latent time bomb and she'll wake up. One can hope so for her sake.

Re: The lawful standpoint of what is offered at RSE is the REAL version.

------------------------------------------------------

From these words written by Mr. Kaukl I do not consider it is conclusive that RSE is definitely classified as a religion but rather that religion has been used a successful defense.

I would consider mounting evidence against RSE could overturn a previous court evaluation. In Jeffrey Knight's time very few people were speaking up...even on an anonymous basis.
------------------------------------------------------

This is a definition of occult taken from the AOL dictionary.

Main Entry: OCCULT
Function: NOUN
: matters regarded as involving the action or influence of supernatural or supernormal powers or some secret knowledge of them.

Function: ADJECTIVE

Etymology: Latin occultus, from past participle of occulere to cover up, from ob- in the way + -culere (akin to celare to conceal) -- more at OB- , hell
1 : not revealed : SECRET
2 : not easily apprehended or understood : ABSTRUSE , MYSTERIOUS
3 : hidden from view : CONCEALED
4 : of or relating to the occult

It is quite evident if one attends an RSE class that the offer PRESENTED is expressed as INTENDED to produce occult powers. JZ denies this through her attorney.

------------------------------------------------------

Whatcha, I consider the conflict between the legal version of what is offered at RSE and the actual offer presented in the arena as the most stunning sort of arrogance and divided consciousness.

The injustice of the misrepresentation is the exhibition of the altered ego itself as defined according to the RSE teachings themselves.

It is great to see so many honest pieces of writing that are not defending the lies of RSE.

Re: The lawful standpoint of what is offered at RSE is the REAL version.

To give a better perspective: Jeffrey Knight was involved in marital proceedings in order to divide assets not proceedings regarding the operation of the corporation in itself.
