Hi, I am reading the Ngo Cho Kun history in Kong Han's website "Origin of Goh Cho Kun" written by Mr. Daniel Kun and I found out something strange there. There are two different histories of Master Ho Yang.
In one section, it is mentioned that Master Ho Yang was from Fujian (South). But in another section, it is mentioned that Master Ho Yang was from Honan (North).
I learned Ngo Cho Kun from Sucho Liem Tjoei Kang's lineage. And my master did mention that the Ho Yang Pai's Ngo Cho Kun could be considered a Northern style (I think because of Master Ho Yang's influence). Personally I think it has both Northern and Southern elements (i.e: the five styles are Southern).
