Cumberland Basin

Is there a way to find out what boats/ships sunk or collided in the cumberland basin in the early 1900's. One of my ancestors was a Marine Store Dealer nearby. Rumour has it that there was a shipwreck/collision, and one of the family - Possible Arthur Charlton, managed to get hold of several items from this shipwreck which are in the families possesion today.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Cumberland Basin

You could try and contact the habour master for Bristol Docks. he probably doesnt keep records that far back, but he probably knows if and where they are stored.
