Mayes [Mazes] Court 1850's - 1860's

Hello all,

Does anyone have information about the whereabouts and correct spelling for this street/yard? It was in St Philip & Jacob and appears to be either off or part of Great George Street (Off Park Street) at the time but I can't find any useful reference to it other than Census addresses.

Cheers me dears

The correct spelling is Mazes Court without Great George Street. Ref: Mathews Directory 1851

Terrific, thanks web.
What does "Without" actually mean in this context?

(Without) Old English meaning "Outside" if you lived outside the old city walls "Without Lawford's Gate"
