colstons arms - bristol. uk

Hi,
Does anyone remember the "colstons arms" thst was in St Michaels Hill in the sixties, dont know if its still there, i know the new Bristol Infirmary, was practically built right next door to it, it had a back entrance, which had a courtyard. nd also there was another pub a couple of doors down which actually stood on the corner of two road, going back towards park row. does anyone have memories of it, or a photo of it as well. I think the couple that ran it moved down to clevedon area. frank was the publicans name but cant remember his wifes name.

Hello Elaine,

The Colston's Arms is now Micawber's Alehouse (why oh why ?) and is on St.Michael's Hill, a few doors up from the Scotchman & His Pack which is on the corner with Horfield road, the back entrance and yard of the Colston's Arms, I think are still there and open up on to Horfield road.

Kevin.
