I met Michael at my place of employment. He is the owner of Pirates Den Fishing. He came in to have something made for a new lure he is working on. As an avid angler of over 40 years, I can tell you he is working on a few products that are going to change the game of fishing. As if the L.E.D. concept isn\'t enough, there is more to come. I promised I would not give away what he asked us to build for him so I advise you to closely watch for these new items.
Mike explained his product line and gave me a few samples that were used with sucess. I know what is coming down the pipe is going to alter the way we fish.

I have been fishing the west coast of Vancouver Island for more than thirty years. Last summer I puchased a Green Meanie to try,(more as a joke than as a serious fishing tool). The next seven halibut and more bottom fish than I can remember were caught on it! The biggest halibut was 110 lbs. I\'M HOOKED!!!

I ordered some lighted lures from a company in Vancouver and of the four in the set, only one worked- for about 6 hours. The others did not work at all. They have not responded to my emails. Live and learn.

But, while I was at The Harbour Chandler, they suggested I try your products. I am hooked !!

I contacted Pirates Den Fishing about the Wench Pearl Glow and wanted to buy one that was ready to go. Michael advised me on the different ways to rig it and during the conversation; I decided to let him rig it for me. It was the right choice.
Unlike most people, I deep troll for Wahoo and within minutes got a solid hookset and battled a hard fight. Not one time did it hit me the leader would break. His design held easily. After boating the beast, I checked the lure and leader and found it was good as new- no nicks, nothing pulled loose. Since then, I’ve used it a number of times and it does not show any wear, all the while, I’ve boated 11 Wahoo and countless other fish. The largest being 130 pounds.
The crimps are still holding, light still working and the hook has held its shape-haven’t even had to sharpen it.
I spoke with Michael a few times since and he made a jig for me. I will try it out on some grouper next month.
I conclude with stating that the products are excellent and the lights produced far better results than without. They know what they’re doing up there {they are in Canada} and Michael is an easy person to talk to.
I will be buying from them as a regular source of lights and lures and great information.

I, too, have used those L.E.D. lures when fishing and found them to be a fantastic product. Normally, I fish around BC, but sometimes tow my boat to various places around Washington and Oregon. Holy crap, they work !! I\'ve used the same lure to catch halibut, flounder, rockfish, lingcod & salmon. I was amazed at how the fish respond to that light. Anyways, I have family in Texas and in Florida that fish and when I told my uncle in Texas about these lures, he wanted me to send him some. I bought a few and sent them to him. He has reordered from Pirates Den since. He said he always limit out. His stepson lives in Florida and fishes the coast there. He swears by Pirates Den\'s lure, now. I don\'t troll alot, mostly casting or fast jigging but one day, I will get setup to troll. From what I read, the bite only gets better when trolling them. For flounder, I drop my line with a weight about 18 inches above the lure and will smack bottom a few time, rest for 15 seconds and pull in a fish.—Guest fishlip

Tried out some of the mini LED lights in Baja Mexico with better than normal results. Playing with various set-ups and looking forward to the upcoming salmon season on WCVI. The lights show great promise. Landed Yellowtail,Dorado and sierra in Baja. Good Luck with a great product.

I was given a squid lure by my brother in law. Looks very real and fooled the fish. Two nights ago, some friends and I went out fishing and before the night was done, I landed 32 fish.
