Replying to:

On Fields…With You

by Ed Novick

On Fields we would play; fields green, brown and white;

Chasing balls and dreams, and sometimes glories.

Making times worth memories for stories

Of wins and defeats, and plays out of sight.

The hours and days and fun beyond number

We’d throw or we’d hit or we’d catch or roam

O’er fields, counting scores, ‘til Mom called us home

Tired and aching and hungry for slumber.

From tots, to teens, to men we have since grown

On Fields of Wonder, under skies of blue

Ever seeking to play, one with the other.

So whenever we’re feeling lost and alone

You can think of me, and I’ll think of you

On Fields, at Play. I love you my Brother.
