2018 - The 45th Annual Fest is happening December 14th-16th

45th Annual December Festival!
Greetings, Fellow Festers! Yes, it’s the craziest time of the year and we are still doing DecemberFest. The time is just around the corner and again, the traditional Splendid Time to be Had by All will be at Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort and Campground near Mayo, beginning Friday, December 14th. (It’s always the weekend with the second Friday.)
Call the good people at the campground at 386-294-2510 or get info at http://www.suwanneeriverrendezvous.com Please report to the Office when you get to the site. Their camping/lodging fees can be paid with cash or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, & Discover only) and we will take cash, check or PayPal donations for the Festival.
See the end of the message for directions.
PET NOTES: Pets are welcome but ONLY IF LEASHED! Be prepared to pick up after your dogs if you choose to bring them. Also, if renting a cabin or room, ask the campground about a fee for pets.
FOOD NOTE: We use peanut oil and hot spices in preparing some of our meals. Remember to bring your own eating utensils, plates, and a drinking cup.
The party will include the usual good time:
•A trailer full of beer
•Friday dinner
•Saturday smoked pork and fried turkey dinner
•Sunday champagne brunch
•Live music and entertainment all weekend long.
•The best campfires
Also, as usual, check it out and talk it up on www.decemberfest.com (by the way, we know it’s out of date and we need a new webmaster) and on the December Fest Facebook group. Please spread the word, and let us know if you're coming.
We can ALWAYS use volunteers and contributions! Let us know if you want to be an organizer for next year, drive a truck/trailer full of stuff, play music, cook, do a skit, wash dishes, tell jokes, set up, take down, provide propane refills, haul stuff, bring firewood or whatever else.
We need more help with advance contributions this year! Suggested donation is $15-20 per person per night. This doesn’t include separate camping/lodging fees paid to River Rendezvous. Please make checks out to December Festival and mail to:

Also, we have a PayPal account and can take cyber-money, but we won't post that on the Web. People who want to contribute that way can e-mail an inquiry to EcoLent@yahoo.com and I will respond individually. E-mail me if you need my phone number, too, please!
Thanks to all. See you there!
