Loughborough international

Our very own Euan is competing in the international this weekend

As winner of the university champs held at Bedford earlier this month Euan was automatically selected

Main aim is to get closer to the qualifying time of the u23 European championship in July

Euan will be back at Sandy soon once his lectures have finished for the year

Re: Loughborough international

Extremely good news from the Loughborough International yesterday. Euan Dickson-Earle competed in one of the guest 110m hurdles races, and his progress is the senior ranks continues at an extraordinary pace.

He came fifth in an very strong field (the winner went below 14 seconds) and the quality of the company he's keeping is telling in the way his times are motoring downwards. Having set a PB of 14.67sec at the BUCS Championships earlier in the month, he took a quarter of a second off that time - despite hitting barriers - to post 14.42. Not just a huge PB, but also well within the qualifying standard of 14.50 needed for the European Under-23 Championships in July.

With a host of current and former Team GB internationals competing on the day, including Andrew Pozzi and his former junior rival David Omoregie in the match race, where they both posted World Championship qualifying times, it must have been incredibly valuable experience.
