Burglars entered a home on Lakeridge Drive on July 19 and stole a computer, electronics, and a wide-screen TV. The break-in occurred between 2:10 and 3:45 p.m. Nobody was home, except for the family's four dogs, including a large shepherd.
As has been the case in many recent hillside break-ins, the perpetrators gained entry to the home from a rear entrance not visible from the street. The homeowners called 911 and filed a report with the police, who arrived about 4 hours after receiving the call.
One of the victims recalls having seen an unfamiliar truck parked on Lakeridge Drive when she returned home at 3:45. After discovering that her home had been robbed, she rushed back out to the street, and the truck was gone.
