The Old Duke

Hi,
I'm looking to gather some more information about The Old Duke.

Things I do know: Built in at least 1780 (if the council's planning department is accurate). The Ashmead map (http://designbristol.ning.com/page/know-your-place)of 1874 shows The Old Duke as 'Old Duke'.

Rumours/unsure: Built in 1750 or 1765. Possibly named after the Duke of Cumberland and possibly once called The Duke William and/or The Duke's Head.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
