The Fox public house

We think our ancestor J.B. Lambley may have been one of the licencees of The Fox pub in the 1800s, as seen in one of the pictures on the site. Does anyone know how to get information about former licencees? He seems to have known Robert Gomer and Charles Zincraft, and possibly someone called Crowden, as later decendants were named after them
