1968 Floods Article

I found the article on your site very interesting - I was just wondering who wrote this article and where was it taken from? Many Thanks Stuart

Re: 1968 Floods Article

Hi The article is from old unsigned press cuttings of the time published about Sept 1968. These were purchased in an old scrap book at Lansdown car boot sale. I have tried in vain to find the copyright with no luck. Many of the images were scanned from these cuttings. Some of the images on my website were from neighbours who lived near to me at The Tanyard Willsbridge South Gloucestershire. My Grandfather and uncle ran Willsbridge Milling Company (now longer trading)I used their personal memories of the great flood and some of my own. We were trapped by the rising flood water for over two days in the house loft. My Hillman Minx was lost forever and never found.
