"Loxton's" sporting goods business

HI
I truly enjoyed looking at the pics from my father's place of birth. His family owned a sporting goods business in Bristol for many years. The business was called "Loxton's". Are there any pics or any information available of the shop?
I would love to see a photo of the shop.
Thanks so much!
Penny

Loxton's, the sports shop in Gloucester Road in about the 1920's

Re: "Loxton's" sporting goods business

Loxtons were actually in Stokes Croft. On the left going from the city. In the rank of shops just before Jamaica Street. I remember buying sports kit from there in 1960s. They stocked Fred Perry tennis kit. I'm sure the shop remained until the late 1970s or even early 1980s.

Hi thanks for the info.

Not sure but the Loxton shop was somewhere between bottom of Nine Tree Hill and North Street Stokes Croft. It would be great if anyone had a photo?.

Loxton's in Stokes Croft that was a proper sports shop!
I went there to buy my boxing kit the last time would have been around 1984/5 (aged 12-13).

The gent that ran it was superb and was always giving me more gear than I bought!
