Bristol South End FC/Bristol City FC

Hello

I have a past relative who played for Bristol South End/Bristol City - John 'Jock' Russell.
He transferred from Arsenal to Bristol South end in 1896/1897 and must have come when Sam Hollis from Arsenal weas appointed manager of the newly formed Bristol City. I have a photo of him in a team but I'm not sure which one it was as he left Bristol in 1897. Has anyone any pictures of the 1896/1897 Bristol South End/City teams or know where I might find them.

this is in reply to your message ref a mr russell . ihav the picture of him in my book. it is indeed ,september 30th1897.and sure thing mr hollis the trainer. hope this is of help ,the book is bristol city football club the first 100 years by leigh edwards ,it lucky i saw your post anyway best of luck.
