I love England too, Laurie, but I must admit I haven't really followed the Olympics in many, many years.
As for the outsourcing of uniforms, gotta admit - when Ralph Lauren has the USA Olympic team uniforms made in China...there is something seriously ugly and greedy about his business.
Ooh, Toni, that IS bad, about the made-in-China Ralph Lauren uniforms. Ugly and greedy indeed. Somehow I missed that news story. So boycott away if ye must, Dale! Not sayin' anybody who loves England should love the Olympics...just that since I love both, and they are both a way of communing with the spirit of my dear old Brit-descended track athlete and coach dad whom I miss desperately, I can't pass 'em up over uniforms. However, if I were 30 or 40 years younger and on the American women's track team (a career choice I often regret not making), I might well be tempted to pull a Gypsy Rose Lee at some point in protest. Perhaps during the Parade of Nations?? :-)
