Tickets are scheduled to go on sale tomorrow for next year's Alvin Lee/Johnny Winter show at the Olympia in Paris.
Check it out
Yaaaaay!! :-) Go, Alvin!! Except-- d*mn, I can't commit to the date and details quite this early. Wish I could! Bummer. But yaaaaay, anyway!! Gonna try to be there!! Who else has decided for sure, or is seriously considering going?
My husband and I had a serious conversation about how to make it happen, but we couldn't get around the fact that I'm going to be in the middle of teaching.
Sounds like an awesome time and for sure go Alvin and everyone that's going have a rockin fun time!!!
Just bought two tickets - can't wait! First few rows already gone!
GENERAL ADMISSION !!!
Orchestre debout
STANDING ONLY.
Luckely we have wifi in the Bus (Thanks Les for putting it, you are such great IT men)
Got my 2 tickets for Jane and I. Orchestra in order to be in the next to all of you.
Just a tip, try not to be behind Pieter....
Thanks for your input Eric.
For those who are small . They go automaticaly in front of me. I always take care of the small young and tiny once.
Those who come at the last moment cannot expect to be at the absolute front.
Hey my friend this is just a fun Inlay for the one that dont know you
We all know you take of everything and thx again
Tickets bought. However, judging by my chaotic organisation in Raalte, I've probably booked to see Brenda Lee in Olympia in Greece this winter
Yes it would not surprise me and maby Balcony too??.
Don't worry Les you should be ok about the concert. I'm more concerne about the Hotel Room...
I can help you in that dept if needed
Pieter
Did you say standing, there was no standing the last time at the Olympia? Orchestra tickets at 49.90 Euros is that the ones we want?
I was under the impression that I got assigined seating. My receipt, however, doesn't indicate my seating assignment? Probably find out for sure when the tickets arrive. Doesn't really matter to me - it will be my first time in Paris - and, most importantly, I'll get to see Alvin for the first time since 1994!!!
Hey Graeme,
Yes take the Orchestra ticket at 49 euros. This time it will be standing up tickets.
All others (setting) are above.
Cheers
Eric
Two tickets purchased. Me and someone will be going
On another note, i had I've Been There too playing in my car yesterday and a friend of mine heard it through an open window. He asked me who it was and today he bought the CD.
Standing ( general admission) . I called ..she from the olympya said . Standing only . But on the balcony you can sit.
Maby they remouve the chairs when doing a rock concert. I have watched a few rock concerts from the balony . Never again .. You dont feel that you are a part of it . Too far away. And the sound is not so good.
I'm always happier standing anyway pieter, better atmosphere. We will pick a hotel later where we can stay.
I had a search round online yesterday and Paris hotels are already looking rather full. Eric is kindly investigating for me - After Raalte I don't trust myself!
So, I shouldn't wait to long to book a hotel?
I alredy booked mine hotel . The same as last time 3 minutes walk from the Olympia and 10 minutes walk from place de concord.
My receipt for our tickets says 'orchestre debout' as Eric will verify, 'debout' is French for 'standing' which I only realised after I bought them.
Rosie will be coming with me to Paris for a few days again to enjoy the city, staying at the same central hotel as last time, but she'll have to miss the concert because she doesn't do standing in crowds. She's gutted, but not everyone likes the standing gig thing.
It'll be great to join up with you all again though, and meeting Les and Victor at last!
Buy a balcony seat for her . Great to have you and Rosie with us again
Alan Sneak in your deck chair, get in early and park Rosie in the front row.
Complete with knotted hankie on head and Tupperware box of cheese sangwidges?
Too bulky Graeme, maybe I could pop into Ikea (Paris), buy a flat-pack chair, you could all crowd round me, shielding me from the stewards, whilst I knock it together - voila! - one bedside cabinet???????
Hi Alan, if Sue and I can sort out the trip, Sue can maybe join Rosie, as she's not into standing or music.
Except ABBA, Bjorn!!
That sounds like a plan Tony if you decide to come. I can save you you trouble of ordering a ticket too, because I've got a spare.
The last Paris concert was a sell-out, so there's good chance it will be the same again, especially with Johnny Winter fans competing for tickets.
Fantastic Tony to have with the Gang too in Paris.
our Family gang is strong and growing.
Love the mental imagery this evokes, Alan. You are too funny! Must be a Scottish thing. Sure hope I can make it for this event and trade witticisms with you and the gang, in between guitar riffs or whenever... :-)
Glenn There is seating as well
