Re: I Can't Keep From Crying
What a find! What an expensive and revealing find!
Do you realise that if 1 hour of footage suddenly surfaced, at the rate of $10.81 p/s, it would cost nearly 40 grand?
Thanks for sharing D!

Cool. Expensive but cool. I just don't know that it puts an end to the Woodstock question, though. Unless there is a heck of a lot more of this, we still are left with the film's producers telling us that the only song they filmed in entirety is Woodstock. Makes ya wonder, though.
40 grand is not expensive if that means you have the exclusive and only right to one hour historic footage of TYA at Woodstock ( one hour )!!!

It is not all TYA, got my money back.

Re: I Can't Keep From Crying
Well, they actually didn't even have "I'm going home". As I recall it, the drum tracks failed completely and was overdubbed aftwards by a studio drummer called Larry Bunker. Also, high humidity made the guitars go out of tune so quickly and badly, they had to stop in the middle of "Good morning little schoolgirl" to re-tune.
For collectors, anything of course is worth having, but for fans it may be not be what we want to hear.. and I guess Alvin doesn't want that either.

Re: I Can't Keep From Crying
I think it was Corky Laing who overdubbed the drums, Borje - at least he's the one who usually gets credit.
As for them having to stop to re-tune - totally true. But what's funny is that Alvin says that no one he asks (including me - I was there) remembers it!
Thank you, Toni - yes, when Ric wasn't available for it, Corky Laing sounds like a more sensible choice.
Haha yeah, like they say - "if you remember the 60's, you weren't there"..

I didn't know you were at Woodstock! It would be so fun to hear any stories from being there
Yeah, Toni! Let's have some colorful (psychedelic?) Woodstock anecdotes! Wow, I didn't know you were there, either! How'd I miss that??
