Re: Happy Big 7-0, Sir PMcC!!

Good old B.B.'s still out there, but he's been slowing down quite a bit in some ways in recent years, bless his heart. He no longer stands in performance, and seems to talk and sing his way through a number more than play much on the guitar these days, other than small intervals of strategic notes throughout. Yet he's still a vibrant and obviously much-loved artist and entertainer, and continues to hold his audiences' complete attention and devotion. So I say: good for him! He doesn't need to be where he was before, only where he is now, right? It's all about connecting with people. As for Sir Paul, there's a *Time* magazine special issue over here in honor of his 70th b'day, and other publication tributes to do with the 50 year anniversary of the Beatles (per se), but I didn't see much fanfare for him over here either. That may well be as he wishes. Who wants to advertise getting old?? Other than Bob Hope and George Burns and others making it to 100, that is! ;-)

Compared to the still very active B.B.King, we are all spring chickens..

Surprised there hasn't been more fuzz about Paul's 70th birthday, considering he is one of the greatest musicians and songwriters of all times. Not a word about in our news. Anyway - Hippie B-day, Paul! I know you are reading this, since I'm sure you are one of Alvin's many fans..

Happy B-Day Sir Paul. I would've bought you a toaster or something, but I'm pretty sure you pretty much own everything you need/want already!

LOL! Talk about the man who has everything! Except youth, sigh. But life can be seen to be a circle, with no ending. I feel confident from profound personal experience and lifelong observation that Mother Nature recycles everything, even souls. Especially souls. When Paul goes, I'm sure he'll be back.

Love and connect with this. Through listening, observing and connecting with nature there is so much to learn and discover. I've also had that lifelong connection. Cheers to Paul's birthday and the gift of music he has brought to the world!
