You said it, Toni. I did think Les was being a bit droll, so I tee-heed. However, as some of you MAY be aware, ahem, I don't normally consider the subject under commentary a tee-heeing matter. To thine own self be true, Alvin!!

Moved on doesn't mean that he has changed his mind, though.
Of course Alvin has moved on - that's the whole point. TYAnot uses Alvin's name regularly in promotion. Not once have I seen Alvin use the names of rico, chico or leo to promote himself. And, as Toni pointed out, Alvin has probably gotten over it, but it doesn't mean he likes it - nor do many of us.
Yep, Laurie, my certified fisheries research biologist fishing buddy/guru and I terrorized a lot of trout during our trip - especially the guru - but we returned the vast majority of said fish safely back to their habitat keeping only our legal limits for our locally renoun faculty and family fish fries.
Because we have the same first name, our educational colleagues have taken to calling us "The Two Dons - Godfathers of Fishing". I am certainly not at the same level as Don R. - I thnk I'm probably more like a caporegime or soldier in comparison. Occasionally - and far more often than I like to admit - I fall down wading the river, cast into the trees, etc., closely resembling Fredo fumbling his gun.
That really says it all, Don: Alvin doesn't use the names rico, chico, or leo, or even Ric, Chick, or Leo, to promote himself. He can stand on his own two feet and stride with pride down that Road to Freedom, while they're still trying to hitch a ride behind. They STILL need him, and he no longer needs them. End of story, for them, anyway.
