It is enormoously draining to stay abreast of what is happening and to stay active and write to congress.
To be more pessimistic, I have read that the ludicrous immigration legistration was one of the first times that Congress ignored surveys by the citizens.
It is appearing that the Corporate control of congress is even squeezing out the influence of citizens.
But, I still have hope that there will be a wakeup of the citizenry, the realization that partisan politics is a total smokescreen and that the only party is the "green" party, green as in money. Their are now political philosophies in todays Congress and Administration.

Thanks Rob,
I wish I could take credit for "The Green Party" line.
Will Durst wrote a very effective article, in a humorous tone for Progressive Magazine in the Feburary edition called "President Bush, The First Green President".
That really got my interests. Bush ..Green President ?
So, I "stole" his true concept of one party, "The Green Party".
