Toni....I can't believe your post about this....I also was thinking just a few days ago how cool it would be for Alvin to do one or all of those in the future....Do you think he would?....Any idea who books the artists for the cruise?....Ya think Delbert personally makes the phone call to the people he would like to have perform?....Janet and I almost went on last years but opted out for a less expensive 7-day cruise out of Galveston....I think I read somewhere on Delberts site that returning cruisers get first rights of refusal for booking....It looks like it's getting nearly impossible to get onboard....

Re: Re: Blues Cruise
I would LOVE to go on on of Delbert's Blues Cruises - especially if Alvin were to be on board! I've been saying for a long time that Alvin would be a perfect fit for these. What could be better than a bunch of us crazies sailing around on a cruise ship listening togret blues? I vote let's do it!
Well...we think it would be great for Alvin. But we never know what Alvin will think is great, do we? Regardless, I think it would be great fun - I've never been on a cruise, never wanted to go on one because I don't like structured vacations - but I have to admit, this blues cruise idea is brilliant. I'd love to give it a try.

Re: Blues Cruise
He id a bloooze cruise in Boston years ago..I think the DD tour maybe.?
The cruises out of NY are just harbor cruises - in and out in an evening. As I understand the Delbert McLinton cruises, they last a week and have several great bluesmen playing. I have a buddy who is signed up for next year and there are some available rooms still. Much more expensive than most cruises though.
TONI, I DON,T KNOW IF ALVIN WOULD GO ANY WHERE NEAR A SHIP ON THE HIGH SEAS WITH ALL OF US ON THERE YA KNOW NOW THAT I THINK OF IT I,AM NOT SURE I WANNA BE TRAPPED AT SEA WITH A FEW OF OUR FRIENDS WHO CHAT ON HERE PEACE PAUL THEN AGAIN
