oviously its NOT about the music.. an the LOVE of all
forms of tya.. I am just pleased I get to hear the songs I love by at least 3 of the oringal members. I will always be a Alvin supporter.. but geee Joe is very talented too. and I am sure they are not making hands over fists of money like you all think from this. They are playing the music they LOVE to play. They are out there playing live gigs !Who cares what they call themselves. People are saying wow ten years after.. its not Alvin but wow they are still good.. and maybe just maybe they will go out an not only buy new tya albums but all the old ones too! Maybe look up tya and Alvin on the internet... and wow look !!! more fans !!! We all win !! and Toni I am surprised you really think those songs are funny.. I don't but oh well.. maybe I don't have a sense of humor.. but I am sure glad I went to see them. and If Alvin comes around.. I will be the first to go see him as well.. and be here singing praises of him too!

Actually, I do ignore Dave. On Alvin's advice I stopped visiting his board eons ago - sadly, though, many of Alvin's fans get so outraged that they send me his posts anyway!

Look, I appreciate what both of you "old and older fans" are saying - I've tried many times to say the same thing myself - its done. 3 years on and the name is the name and TYAN are going to go on and do what they do. I think that those of you who are pleased to see them have all the right in the world to do so and to proclaim your glee from the rooftops if you so choose. But some of us, me included, of course, are Alvin Lee fans more than we were ever TYA fans, so what the other 3 are doing isn't of much interest to us, and it rankles us to have to constantly hear the new band's fans carry on with their "Joe is better than Alvin" nonsense. If they react to it by making up funny names to TYA songs, I still say that's a heck of a lot better than the real libel that has been spewed against Alvin.
