Well, I GUESS we can forgive that Pieter . And you're right Paul, he's very inspirational. I've seen him 3 times, the last time being 2004. He was in a chair then also, but you'd only have to close your eyes and you'd never know it. I'm lucky enough living near Cincinnati that I can catch him here, Dayton, or even Chicago. But I guess a tour of any large proportions (especially over-seas) is pretty hectic for an 80 year old man. But he's a man who at one time, for a 40+ year stretch, was playing 350 days a year or better . He's definitely earned his rest. Check him out while you can!!!
I have seen B.B. many times - every show was fabulous. I remember one show however, many years ago when his emcee said and "And now ladies and gentleman (Beeeem - that unmistakable vibrato and tone from off-stage) the King of the Blue (Beeeem) Mr. B. (Beeeem) B. (Beeeem) King! and he walked out playing "Everyday I have the Blues" on Lucille.
Amazing how you could tell who was playing just from the wonderful and unique tone and vibrato of the Master!
