Alan and Paul, I have to finally tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth....I have the greatest relationship in the world....We have been together over ten years and we have always kept our own separate checking accounts, along with a joint account for mortgage, utilities, household goods and groceries....We have always and continue to split everything 50/50....Mortgage, dinners out, everything!....This way, she buys whatever she wants for herself without grief from me and if I want to blow a hundred bucks at the dog track on Friday afternoon with some buddies, theres no guilt....We don't have this conversation around my brothers girlfriend anymore because it makes her annoyed and a little crazy....Sure has kept my house a happy place to live for all these years though....Warning!....Don't let your spouse's read this post....This arrangement is not welcome in many relationships....Glenn

Paul, you gotta spend that money on B.B. pal!....He and I have the same September 16th. birth date....I turned 50 and B.B. is what 79 or 80 on this last one?....I've been saying for ten years....this may be the last time we get to see him perform live. At his age you have to assume your opportunities are certainly numbered....I know he's been doing his show sitting in a chair for years now, but it was still great the last time we saw him....Janet and I are going on a 7-day cruise on the Carnival Conquest next Sunday....my belated birthday present. This was supposed to depart from New Orleans, but is presently calling Galveston home....I noticed that B.B. is playing a two-night gig at a great little place in Galveston this Friday and Saturday night called the Grand Opera House....You know, one of those old timey looking opera houses with the long flowing curtains and small private balconies along the sides....We may have to find a way to slide down to Galveston a day ahead of the cruise to check him out....P.S....We had an unusual but entertaining evening out last night to see Randy Newman perform with the Houston Symphony Orchestra....First half of the show was Randy conducting the orchestra himself with accompanying film clips of the movies he's done the musical score on....Second half was Houston's conductor with Randy on Piano and vocals doing many of his well known songs....This was the second of three sold out nights at Jones Hall, which is a pretty large venue....Not your usual Rock & Roll show, but a pleasant evening out none the less....Go Astros!....Glenn
