Filters

Hi
I have been trying your free version of Ldir and its good in sense that it helped me devise some very profitable stategies. But the Zone A filter is not working to my expectations. I want to put numbers in and control the zone or position where the number can occur. Say I want 21 to occur only in position 3 and not anywhere else. what do i do?

I know the positional filter G and have used it extensively but still find it impossible to restrict a certain number to a specific position in the sequence especially when theres number lower than itself.

Best regards,
Jeri

Question: Besides the number 21 to be only in position 3, would you allow any other numbers to be there also?

Example:

7 12 21 28 35 42
8 19 21 27 33 44
8 17 19 29 34 40
9 18 20 30 36 45
9 19 21 32 37 43
9 20 22 29 32 41
(etc)

The number 21 appears only in position 3. It is never allowed to appear in any other position. But other numbers (19, 20, 22) are also allowed to appear there.

Is that what you would like to have? Or should only the 21 be there, and no other number?

If you'd like to give a full description of how you're filtering, and for which game, we can explore it completely.

Re: Filters

Yes, I want other numbers to appear. I play the South African 6/49 lotto.

The problem is if I put say numbers 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 & 23 as part of the numbers to be wheeled. But I want only 18, 21 & 23 in position 3 of my sequence. I invariably would find also 19 and 20 in the in position of the wheeled numbers. Then it causes me to filter the unwanted 19 & 20 manually.

This manual filtering is tiresome when I play say 100 tickets.

The filter doesn't work that way, as you're finding out.

If you wanted an uninterrupted series of numbers, like 18 19 20 21 (etc), it would work.

If you leave out some numbers from the series, like 19, 20, 22 in your example above, it won't work.

It's a Positional Limits filter. You set the limits (lowest and highest numbers) you will allow in that position.

You could try running three separate wheels, and then merge them together.

Run one wheel with just 18 in that position. Then run the second wheel with just 21, and then run the third wheel with just 23.

On a fast PC, it would take only a few minutes to run each wheel.

Then use "Join Text Wheel Combinations" on your LD Professional Wheeling menu.

It will merge the wheels together into one final wheel. It will eliminate any duplicated combinations (which you'd have in the three wheels).

When you're done, you'll have one wheel with exactly the numbers you want in position 3, and without any duplicates.

Feel free to explore it further here, if you like. We're happy to assist.
