The purpose of my post is to share my ideas with other players. I could be missing some good
points or overlooking some other ways to play.
Any comments will be welcomed. They would help me and also others.
I'm in Florida and my favorite game is Fantasy five which is a 5-36 game. The ideas here can be
applied to any other game, where ever you are and what ever your game is.
Sometimes I play lotto and powerball. Lotto attracts me, obviously, for high payout.
Powerballs $200.000 payout for 5 number hit which can go up to $1 Mn. with power play, also
interesting to me. I don't dream about hitting Jackpot in Powerball. If it happens fine, no complaint.

Here I will write about, in a few posts, a logical and some mathematical approach to the way I play.

Biggest question in every players mind is: How do I pick the numbers to play ?
We can pick some key numbers, double digits, consecutive numbers and any other in between.

How do I pick 2-3 key numbers ?

Here is one approach:
Since it is difficult to hit 2-3 key numbers, what if I pick 10 numbers instead, with 8 plays.
I will number them from 0 to 9.
You replace them with your own numbers. Such as 0=21, 1=13, 2=34, 3=46 etc....

1- 0 2 4
2- 0 3 8
3- 1 5 7
4- 1 6 7
5- 1 7 9
6- 2 3 8
7- 3 4 8
8- 5 6 9

If you hit 3 numbers in the above wheel, you will always have at least one line with min. 2 numbers.
If you're lucky, you might have 3 numbers.
Once you have your key numbers, LD or Free Wheel will pick other numbers according to your SUMS and any other filters you might use. This way I reduce the amount of lines to play considerably.

Problem is, you have to play 8 times with 8 different key numbers. Time consuming.

If you think playing 10# with 8 lines separately with 3 key numbers is too long, here is an abbreviated
version with 8 numbers with 6 lines. Again you must hit 3 numbers out of 8 to get min 2 numbers.

Difference is with 8 lines I have better chance of hitting 3 # and also more than 1 line with 2 numbers.

1- 1 5 7
2- 1 6 7
3- 2 3 8
4- 3 4 8 This is believed to be correct but no guarantee. Check it out yourself.
5- 4 5 6
6- 1 2 4

Of course, if I don't want to play each line separately, I can always put 8 or 10 numbers within a zone
and select to pick 2-3 numbers. But this approach increases number of combinations to play, a lot.

Above system can be applied to any lottery, pick ¾, lotto, etc.

So, you might ask:
OK, but how do I pick 8 or 10 numbers to guarantee 2 or 3 winning numbers will be in it ?

Most of the time answer is very simple.

You do not need to look more than last 3 to 5 drawings. MOST of the time last 3 to 5 drawings
contain the numbers we are looking for.

One other thing:
Some decades like 20-29, 30-39 or 1-9 or what ever, might have more repeat numbers than others. You need to check with your games last 3 to 5 drawings to see which decades have more repeat numbers.
If necessary check more than last 5 drawings.

Again this is not a “cast in stone” rule, but most of the the time it works.
Rest of it depends on how you use the software (filters) and of course greatly depends on luck.

This system goes in cycles. Which means it works for a while than for a while it doesn't work.
The term “while” could mean anywhere from 5-6 drawings to 8 to 10 drawings.

Besides this, other way is depending on your gut feelings to pick 8 or 10 key numbers to play.
You can include your “lucky” numbers into 8 or 10 key numbers.

Third way is to follow Lottery Directors selection of top 16 numbers which come up often.
You find it on main page by selecting D (data) and than press 4 (ranks)
Pick your 8 or 10 numbers from there.

I need to clarify something.

I recieved e-mail from some players asking me if I'm
trying to hit just 2 or 3 numbers.

Answer is NO. I'm trying to hit JACKPOT.

Either you play Lotto pick 5 or pick 6, TARGET is to hit 5 or 6 numbers JACKPOT.


Those numbers are called KEY numbers. Which will always be in your final combinations.

Your combinations will be built around these KEY numbers.

In pick 5 or pick 6 Lotto games, after the selection of key numbers, rest of
the numbers will be selected by your filters.
Such as Sums, Even numbers, Roots, etc etc.

With key numbers you garantee to have 2 or 3 winning numbers in every combination.
Providing you have 3 winning numbers in your 8 or 10 key number selections.

If you use your filters carefully other 2 or 3 winning numbers will be selected by
your choice of software ( LD or Free Wheeling ).

Hello VK,
I re-read your posts as you suggested, trying to understand them better. I got the following conclusions and please correct me if I am wrong;
1. The first step is to random select(**) 10 numbers and wheel them with your 8 play wheel.
**Your second post said to obtain these 10 numbers from the last 3 to 5 drawings. Please explain how you do that. Do you look for repeats, etc.?
3. You examine the next drawing (or previous 3-5 drawings ? ) and see if any of the wheeled combos match any of the win numbers.
4. Take this combo (2-3 key numbers), combine with your other selections, and include them in your wheel for the next game.
I understand your reference to cycles. My Pick 3 system seems to work that way too.
I like and appreciate the value of using key numbers. They lower the cost of wheeling very much and improve your odds.

Looking for repeat numbers is one way.
Other way is looking numbers which did not come up for the last 4-5 drawings.
If I knew exactly what to look for, I would win very often. I don't win very often.

Trust your gut feelings, over time you will develop them.

But first, without investing money, practise a lot.
Like any other game: Practise makes it perfect.

Here is an latest example from Florida Fantasy 5, which is a 5-36 game.

Drawing date: 03-01-2011.... 18-23-27-28-31
Drawing date: 03-02-2011.... 13-23-25-28-33

Drawing Date: 03-03-2011.... 6-18-26-28-31

As you can see, within last 3 drawings, numbers 18-23-28-31 came up often.
In fact within last 3 drawing there are only 10 numbers.

For the day 03-03-2011 play, If we had selected 8 numbers from the previous
2 drawings we would have several winners in key numbers.

You need to keep in mind this does not happen all the time.
But happens often enough. Like 3 to 5 days in a row within 10 or 15 days.
Sometimes does not happen 15-20 days. I'm talking about 5-36 game,
which there is a drawing every evening.

Correct....
Key numbers help you reduce the combinations to play.
But they are not the only way.

There are also double final digits, similar to key numbers. Such as 11-21 or 26-36, etc.
Which I haven't talked about them yet.

If you check the winning numbers in above dates, you will see several double digits
such as 18-28, 23-33, 6-26.....
Interesting, wouldn't you say ?
