Ms. Powell's Message Boards

Many visitors email me with questions they have about implementing my suggestions.  They often have fantastic ideas of their own that they want to incorporate.  I wanted to provide a place for visitors to share the ways they have tailored my strategies for their own classrooms, and to bounce ideas off one another.

If you have made one of my ideas your own, or have a question about how to do so, please post below!  I am automatically emailed whenever someone posts, so I can respond to any questions you have.  Sometimes people ask questions that I don't have experience with, so if you don't see a reply from me within a few days, that's probably why!  Other teachers will step up and help you out, though.  This can be a great way for us to exchange ideas about classroom management!

Thanks for sharing!

 Ms. Powell

Drawers for Organizing Papers HOw to use them?

I love this website. I am trying to implement as many ideas as possible. I went out and bought drawers to organize. I am confused though. Ms. Powell says she has a drawer for each subject. Does she put completed work in the drawers or work that is going to be passed out. I have Houghton Mifflen and we have a workbook. What exactly do you put in all the drawers. It seemed like a great idea and my room looks organized, but I am not really using it. If you use them, please tell me exactly what you do.

Thanks,

Sam
