Balance in social structure
Greetings All,
Is the dynamic of feminine and masculine balance so many of us seek to learn at MDS, what many of us are called to, really a reflection of the greater collective call to balance?
I think many agree the current social structure of patriarchy is not working. This thousand or more years experiment has had it's due course and overall proven itself detrimental to life forms of all manner.
Prior to this era the social experiment was matriarchy which too failed, although in differet ways. Women, now assigned the lower caste in society, can be found waving the feminine superiority flag about. A defensive posture reactionary to constant bombardment of male claims to and exercising sole rights and govenorship.
Yet when I think about a matriarch society I envision a system of imbalance. Same structure only genders assigned to opposite position.
With each, patriarch or matriarch, God or Goddess, opposites and imbalance are present. The cry to hold one above or superior to the other works to again create imbalance rather than balance.
I wonder what effect the gender ratio has on current social development and structure? Globally, females outnumber males. Does this lend to dishonoring the feminine due to 'overabundance' of the sex? What can we expect if at some point males outnumbered females? Would we then be compelled to repeat history to oscillate full circle back to matriarchy?
Or can we find equilibrium in 'triarchy', a society that honors three: masculine, feminine, and balance of two together?
I thinkith I think too much...
Kind regards,
Kathy
