I'm looking for a symbol or cluster of characters to display....
Hello!
First let me apologize if this is not the correct venue for tis type of question, however, I have had an extremely difficult time finding what I’m looking for…….
I am trying to develop a tattoo for myself to describe a significant even in my life recently. Usually this type of thing is not a problem for me, but this time I’m at a loss so I was hoping to find a little help online, perhaps from someone here.
What I am trying to find is something to display: enlightenment, hope, balance, truth, peace and perfection. I know I won’t find anything to reflect exactly what I have described, but maybe you could give me a few ideas.

Hi Dan, i am sure there are many symbols you could use in metaphore of these qualities/ states you describe. Have you tried asking your self for a symbol? I have had a recent experience with this in a course i am studying. We were working with symptoms and did a meditation with the intention of being 'offered' a symbol from our psyche in place of the symptom. We then came out of the meditation and drew a picture of the symbol and then had our partner paint it on to our bodies. it was a really powerfull process for me and the symbol i was given has such profound meaning that i am planning on getting it tatooed on my body! I dont see why you couldn't modify this process and concentrate instead on the event and ask for a symbol. Its just a suggestion, and it didn't work for everyone in the class, but it was so profound for me that i just had to tell you about it! good luck

Dan,
Mandalas are excellent vehicles for expressing multiple layers of thought and emotion through symbolism. Mandalas are personalized to each individual, you create it, yet through the symbolism communicate universal thought and emotion.
Google mandala and native american sand painting for information and ideas.

Hello Edwina & Kathy!
Thank you for the ideas regarding my post. In fact, I hadn’t really given any thought to the avenue you have suggested Edwina, but I certainly will now. I have been putting a great deal of thought into participating in some type of meditation such as Tie chi; I’m not quite a Yoga person. I realize Tie Chi is a few “degrees” from something as in-depth as you describe (THE BIOSPHERIC DREAMBODY?), but the concept and the uniqueness of the symbol/s produced from such a process would truly be my own.
Kathy; I have never heard of Mandela’s before reading this post and I must admit I am greatly intrigued and excited to have been introduced to the concept. During writing this reply to the two of you I have researched Mandela’s and the `Dreambody`` on a cursory level. Learning about these new ideas will obviously take a great deal of time and energy; both of which I am excited and willing to devote, regardless of a tattoo.
