Saturdays Portsdown League
Hi all. Just to clear up any confusion. First of all we didn`t change the course. We had always planned to use the P817 but somehow it got confused at the south D.C. committee calendar fixing meeting. We would love to use the tougher P812 but unfortunately the presence of mud and pig s**t over the final climb prevents us from using it. Hope it didn`t cause anybody any undue stress and we assure all your riders of our best intentions at all times. T/A believe that the sport should be run for the riders not the officials and we extend our offer to help any club to promote their events in any capacity we can. We appologise for having the wrong Club title for your riders but we had not been informed of the name change. It is now duly noted. By the way I think your new kit looks really good. Hope you all enjoyed the event, we certainly enjoyed promoting it and hope that similar numbers turn out for all of them. Hope you all have a great season and don`t forget to ask us if you need any help. Yours in sport. Des Ludford.

Hi Des Many thanks for your e-mail, We do appricate it. The riders that poped back into the shop after your event had nothing but good comments about the ride and the event organizers. I am sorry that you have not been made aware of the name change previously, I thought all clubs had been informed. I will be posting an e-mail to all asking them to use our club name in all races etc. Many thanks for your offer in helping out in events, I may well take you up on the offer as I have some Opens to organize, I havehad alot of support from many clubs which is fab, I do have 2 time keepers but I need others to help with the starting and finish. Hi Des/Tina Just reading the views on the forum and now I'm confused as way back in January/Feb I sent out the list of PTTL events to all TT secretaries which stated the new name for Velocity Bikes Cycling Club aswell as the new email address to send the start sheets too. Hopefully see you at the next event Des on the 30th March. Will you be riding? Rich |
