2008 Stock Gas Clone Rules
1. Governor may be removed internally and related linkage.
2. Low oil pressure alert may be disconnected or removed.
3. Stock paper air filter must be used outer foam sock optional.The top plastic cover maybe removed participants option.No after market adapter or filter allowed.Plastic maybe trimmed back to allow access to fuel line from fuel tank.The 2 small air tubes next to filter may be shortened.
4. No carburetor modifications stock only. Choke must remain intact and serviceable.No boring or trimming of carburetor related parts or plastic adapter.
5. Any type standard throttle cable setup.
6. Stock Muffler or Header with muffler
7. Pump gas only no alcohol or race gas that includes additives.
8. Tires open.
9. Drum clutch only any make Noram suggested no disc clutches.
10. Engine will be a 6.5 HP 196 cc clone. I know of four manufactures as of now. Central Machinery, Lifan, Jiang Dong, Duro, No Honda Engine.
10A. Two Classes Medium 350 lbs. Heavy 400 lbs. Scored seperate.
11. Any type racing chassis, Sidewinder or Rear Engine. No age restriction on frame.
12. Clutch, Header( if used), Chain Guard, and Throttle linkage,and remote fuel tank and seperate fuel pump is not included in the $200 claim price.
13.Any style motor mount. Briggs fits this engine.
14. Blue printing of engine not allowed. No machining of parts. This is discourged because it takes away the intent of stock out of the box low budget racing.All internal and external engine parts shall remain as shipped except as noted in the rules for removal.No flat top pistons. Remember the $200 claim rule.Refusal results in no further racing.Record will be kept of engine claims and participants.
15. Engine maynot be claimed till end of the race day. Can only claim from weight class you are entered. Each participant will be allowed 2 claims per season.
16. Remote fuel tank allowed with seperate fuel pump actuated by crankcase vacuum.
17. Transponder mandatory mounting on back of seat mandatory. Maybe purchased or rented from GSKA.
18.Front &Rear Bumpers, Side Nerf Bars Mandatory. Any style body work optional.
19. Recoil Starter that comes with the engine must be attached at all times and used for starting. Electric starters prohibited.
20. Stock timing no offset keys or lapping in of flywheel to advance timing.
21. No Honda Rocker Arms or Valve Springs. No shimming of valve springs or stretching of springs to increase seat pressure .If you do you are gone no excuses.
22.Stock Clone cam no exceptions Compression relief to remain intact
23. Engine and gas will be subject to tech inspection at any time. |
