The 125 ROTAX MAX DD2, (direct drive 2 speed) with its revolutionary
Maintenance free chainless drive train system is now offered to all chassis
manufacturers. The DD2, already used in the ROTAX RM1 kart for more than 2
years, has proven its reliability and performance in numerous races of the
ROTAX MAX Challenge (RMC), and at the ROTAX Grand Finals in Lanzarote.
During a presentation in Lonato all top manufacturers like TONY Kart, CRG,
Birel, Swiss Hutless, PCR, Haase, Tecno, Intrepid, SODIKart, KombiKart and
M-Tec were present and had the chance to test the engine on the track.
A limited quantity of engines will be supplied to the manufacturers within 2 months for development, testing and homologating chassis before end of this year.
Beside CIK homologation, all DD2 chassis will be approved by ROTAX to be used
in the DD2 class of the RMC 2006. A list will be shown on the ROTAX webpage
www.rotax-maxchallenge.com at the end of the year.
The first engines out of serial production will be delivered throughout the
worldwide ROTAX distributor network by February 2006.
