10 kings today .....18 yesterday.....30 last week....178 kings on the board for the year.....!!!

Wouldn't you kow it and they would go and catch 4 more today....so 182.. Blake you pic made the "Topsail Voice" this week...congrats on that...

I kept my "shirt tail" ...had to go and find out what all the fuss was about...and wouldnt you know it by 3pm I had to quit fishing for the day  .....what are you supose to do then....got lots of dirty looks...something about beginners and catching fish...just didnt get it ......  Needless to say ....I fished...I caught....I'm done....

I knew it was gonna be a good year back in June. If I can catch 4 in a week, LOL (That's about 4 years of fishing normally) There are alot of new King fisherman coming in because of all the fish being caught. But, in my opinion, I honestly don't think you'll see nearly that many fish caught next year. Hope I'm wrong! Mark |

Hey, The last time there were over 200 Kings caught.........how many were caught the following year? Just curious. does anybody know? |

if I got the story right...the last time this really happened was back in 1974....but the end of that year in November there was a big storm that took out the end of the pier and also caused alot of sand in and around the pier...so the following year was bad....but there were circumstances that created it that way... caught another one today...but the thing is I have seen spanish bigger than the kings caught lately including the one today..... not many even trying to king fish during the week these days...bait fish have only just begun to show up on the beach and no big school of those either....lots of spanish but about every 30 you catch you might can keep one.... also not hearing much from the boaters either... who knows....
