Gremlin Pickup for sale on ebay
I came across a hornet pickup a while back. Had to take a double take of what it was. Now on ebay is a Gremlin pickup truck. First I though that this was another hornet pickup with a gremlin hood and grille but the dash has the two hole setup not the 3 hole setup that the hornet uses. So to me it is a gremlin with a major modification. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AMC-COWBOY-CONCEPT-PICKUP-WANNABE-Check-This-Out_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ39405QQihZ023QQitemZ360042647161QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW Very interesting |

Looks pretty good. Did you all follow the link to the prototype photos? I always thought it was a Hornet only idea. Never saw the Prototype as a Gremlin. woody |

I actually saw the Hornet pickup once in a junkyard. I almost walked right by it but I saw the AMC side marker light and had to take a closer look as to what it was. There was another car on top of it so that made it harder to recognize what it was. I had taken a good look at it with much envy to see if it could have been restored but other than another car on top of it which did not help at all, it was much too rusted beyond restoring. I wonder how many of these pickups were made in the Hornet and Gremlin bodies? In my opinion AMC should have went ahead and made a full production run of the hornet type. |

No one bid on the car. There really wasn't enough information and left a lot for us to assume, like if there was a title. Probably not. Personally, if this was closer to me I think I just may have bought it. Something beyond unusual! |

Gremil your so right. It was a poorly worded ad with limited info and not enough pictures. I always want to know what the undercarriage looks like. The parts car never had any pictures also. I am sure that this is not the last we have seen of this car. I saw a 80 Kammy for sale on the amc website for only 750 in Vermont this morning. My money would go there first than to this. The main reason I love my Gremlins is what it looks like beyond the B pillar. |

You're absolutely right! When you think about it, removing the tail end removes most of what makes a Gremlin unique. Maybe I'm better off skipping out on this deal. Besides, trucks are everywhere. Can't see why I would want to imitate that!
