Gremlin made Front Page Picture
Well the news paper came today, Sunday and I was awaken by a phone call from long lost friend telling me "your picture is in the Post Times with a Gremlin" After getting up I took a look at the paper and a small picture of the Gremlin was on the front cover. Saying "do you drive a Gremlin or Yugo?" The whole article inside the the paper wasn't totaly what I thought it would be. I was told it would be about the 38th birthday of the Gremlin, BUT they didn't really do us any harm. If you want to read the atricle go to your search engine put "post times Terry Grow" and it should come up. Last year I picked up the paper and half asleep noticed my Gremlin on the front page. They were having a "Hot Rides" contest at the local newspaper website and chose my Gremlin as the car for display. This contest ran for a couple of months and my Gremlin was used on the front page about 3 weeks or so. In fact, even after the contest was over, two of my Gremlin's pictures were on the website page showing pictures that had the most hits and stayed on that page for about six months. And they say the Gremlin isn't popular? As far as comparing the Yugo and the Gremlin, there are a lot of Gremlins still around. Haven't seen a Yugo in years!  Congrats on getting your picture in the paper Terry. You had the right shirt on! |

Actually, that was the former Yugoslavia where the factory was. I read somewhere last year where they were getting that factory back online. Didn't say what cars were going to be made there if any. |

That's cool Terry! A buddy called me last fall to tell me my '70 Newport 'vert was in a magazine. It's always fun to see your own ride in a magazine or paper. However, the idiot who wrote the article said my car was a B Body! Sheesh! At least the person who wrote your article knew what a Gremlin is!!
