Carpeting and stripes
My 73 x model now needs carpeting (full set)and stripes. Any info on the vendors out there would be great-even the bad things about them- will help. THANKS Joe |

well i know places you can get them. Kennedy American has carpet sets. Never heard how good they are, but they only deal in AMC stuff so i would think its good. And Phoenix Graphix makes all the Stripes and i've heard they are exact duplicates of amc's and of great quality. www.KennedyAmerican.com www.PhoenixGraphics.com |

You could also try this place for carpet...I sent for a sample and it is as good or better than original. www.1aautomotive.com. As for stripes, can't beat Phoenix Graphics.

Here is another place for carpeting. http://www.aaaautocarpet.com/index.php They charge 217 for a complete carpet which includes the cargo area. Alotta bucks, but most big places don't have it for the cargo area. |

I got carpet from Kennedy because they have the wheel hump carpeting in theirs. Quality of material was good but the fit of the wheel hump is terrible and needs major trimming and still is a poor fit. I wopuld say to go with a cheaper kit elsewhere IF you dont have the original to use as a pattern. |

I found that with the kennedy carpet also. The price for the front and back floor area at 1aautomotive was around $110.00 I used flat for the cargo area. used the old hump carpet to make new. |

Here - try this: http://www.stockinteriors.com/items.asp?MakeId=2&ModelId=10&MainCatId=1&Desc=AMC_Gremlin_Carpet This is what Kennedy sells - it really comes from a place called Trim Parts (s/w ohio) - Trim parts has their own web site, but they sell their own stuff at a premium - Stock Interiors is like an agent of trim Parts and has their own pricing, which is much better Fred |
