Bristol Co-op

My Grandfather, Ashton B HILL, was employed by the Bristol Co-op all his life. At one point he was based at the Hotwells Branch - he recounted that while delivering groceries to Dame Clara Butt's family he heard her sing!
Later he was the Manager of the Newfoundland Road branch which I remember visiting - especially during WW2. I remember the excitement of being allowed to pull the string which sent the money in the glass container around the shop to the cashier.
Does the written history of the Bristol Co-op include the branch stores?
Thank you.
Pat
