Limeburners

Interested to read your article on Bittons papermill. It maybe answers a question I have about my ancestors living in Oldland. Their occupation is recorded as limeburner and some of their female relations were ragcutters and sorters. Could it be that the end product of limeburning was used during the papermaking process, and would they have been employed by the papermill or would they have worked independently?
