Hi there,
I was wondering if you'd be able to help?
I am currently working on a documentary series and I’m keen to make contact with gay and lesbian parents (including single parents, adoptive and surrogate).
I was wondering if any of you had any contacts or any pointers to help me make contact with anyone that may fit into this target group.
I’m passionately trying to find confident families for this documentary series, and help educate people about how same-sex families are just the same as any conventional family. I think in recent years, the only lesbian/gay families that have hit our TV screens have been pretty extreme – and this had helped an unfair stereotype to exist. If I can make contact with families and see if they would be interested in taking part in my series, it could be a fantastic opportunity to help breakdown these stereotypes.
I'd welcome the chance to talk to anyone that thinks they can help in any way or form - with no obligation and will full respect to confidentiality.
Even coming along to a meeting to answer questions and provide information would be a great help – and then people can see how genuine and how close to my heart this issue is.
