  1. Are you single?
Yes. And I'm not looking to change that any time soon.

  2. Are you a lesbian?
*laugh* For some reason, I get asked this a lot. No. I have some friends and acquaintances who are and hang out with them sometimes, but I am totally heterosexual. My best friend is a lesbian and I guess people figured we were more than just friends when they saw us running around together. *rolls eyes*

  3. What inspires you?
Lots of things. I can get ideas and inspiration from literally anything around me. It could be a bit of music, a photo with an interesting pose, something I see in nature or something I've read. Sometimes I just get strange ideas that pop into my head while I'm sitting around bored.

  4. What do you listen to while you work on your art and other creative projects?
Depends on the mood, but these are just a few of the artists/styles you might hear playing on the MP3 player while I work: Dreamtrybe, Liviya Compean, Kitaro, Enya, Ra, Tangerine Dream, Machines of Loving Grace, Nine Inch Nails,Linkin Park, Muse, James Asher, Medwyn Goodall; Alternative, Classical, Anime Soundtrack, World/Cultural Music, New Age, Industrial, 80's, Punk, Jazz, pretty much a whole lot of everything but Gospel, Rap and Country. I have very eclectic tastes.

  5. What artists do you like?
Dali, Bugereaux (sp?), Degas, Munch, Waterhouse, Van Gogh, Davinci, Rembrandt, Rodin... those are just a few of the "masters" I'm inspired by. I also like Boris Vallejo, the brothers Hildrebrandt, Luis Royo, Julie Bell, Don Maitz, Brom and Michael Whelan. You can see who else I like in modern genre art by taking a peek at the links page. I pretty much add the artists who inspire me or whose work I respect and enjoy.

  6. Do you have any formal education as an artist?
Sort of, but not through any hoity-toity "art" school. I took a LOT of art courses starting way back in junior high and going all the way through college. I studied various media including standard drawing forms, photography, sculpture, pottery, basic design principles, watercolor, acrylics and digital design. I also took some college level acting, music and creative writing courses and was active in theater throughout high school and college. Strangely enough, the degree I was shooting for (but didn't finish due to health issues) was NOT in arts. It was in Secondary Education with a minor in Desktop Publishing. While I learned a lot, I never allowed what they taught me to hamper my own ideas. I was always "breaking the rules" and pushing the envelope.

  7. What is your favorite medium to work in?
Ooooh, I like them ALL. *chuckle* Right now I do almost entirely digital due to simple lack of space for storing actual physical canvases and drawings and neurological problems that make my hands twitch. In the past I did a lot of pencil, ink, acrylics, watercolor and sculptural works in clay.

  8. Are you really as mean and nasty as some people seem to think you are?
For a while there, I had a lot of people online basically telling everyone I was evil bogey man of the internet, threatening people and that sort of thing because they found out I was reporting them for infringing on artist copyrights. Whether I'm mean or not really depends on the situation. Steal from me (or people I like), get abusive with me or otherwise tick me off and I can be. I really don't like being stressed out like that, though. I'm generally a mellow person and like to just have a nice peaceful life. Too bad so many people haven't figured out that being nice and not aggravating me is the way to get that reaction. LOL

  9. What sort of things do you write?
A little of everything: factual articles on magickal/Pagan practices, horror, fantasy, sci-fi, prose, poetry, short stories, novels, recipes, rants/essays, etc. I've even been know to write a bit of erotica on occasion. It just depends on what I feel like doing.

  10. Why do you go after art thieves who aren't even stealing your stuff so much?
There are a lot of reasons. These are just a few: 1. A lot of times they are stealing from my friends and/or people I respect. 2. Using without asking regardless of how it's being used is still stealing! 3. Artists have the right to totally control who uses their images and how they are used by law. End of story. 4. People using art without permission and illegally redistributing it (like on the Internet) can diminish its value to companies and cost those artists contracts, thus endangering their income. 5. It's just bloody rude to use people's stuff without asking, folks. I hate rudeness! 6. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. :-p If you don't like being "harassed" or "persecuted" (yes, I've had some whiners accuse me of doing that to them because they found out I reported them for theft), then stop breaking the law and learn some respect for artists and their work! The fact will always be: if I can identify art or other materials I see being used without proper credit and permission and can contact the owner, you can bet your butt I certainly will. I would want folks to notify me if they saw my stuff being stolen, too.

  11. Do you have pets?
Not currently. Unfortunately my cat of 14 years passed away right before I moved to New Jersey. I can't afford to have any right now, but would love having some again.

  12. How can I meet you in person?
Possibly. I don't get out as much as I used to, so the opportunities are rare. You've a better chance of socializing with me online. I might even let you call me on Skype if I really enjoy your company. (On a side note, being a hermit isn't my choice. I simply have no transportation and no money.)

  13. What is your racial/ethnic background?
I'm an all around mutt. Though I'm having trouble tracing my family tree, it supposedly contains: South/Central American, Mexican, Basque (Spanish/Moorish), Romani (gyspy), Dutch, Scotch, Irish, Native American and French/Cajun/Acadian. Yup... mutt. That's the only good word for it. LOL

  14. You are Pagan. Does this mean you're anti-Christian?
No. I have many close friends who are devout Christians. I am anti-Prosthelytizer. What this means is I don't think people should invade my privacy trying to sell me their religion. To me, religion is a very personal and private thing best found through a quest and thirst for knowledge and spirituality rather than spoon fed as a stricture into the mind. I don't fault anyone their own religion so long as they aren't hurting anyone or using the religion as an excuse to cause harm in any way.

  15. Are you Wiccan?
No. I was once, but I found I'm just a poor fit for that particular sect of Paganism. I use the more generic term "Pagan" because I pretty much follow my own spiritual path which isn't within the strictures of any other particular branch of Paganism. Generally speaking, I'm not a fan of organized religion at all because of its tendency toward corruption and over-zealous control of one's private life. I'm more of a Spiritualist. It means I believe there is probably something out there greater than me which made all this wonderful stuff, but the "worship" is free-form for the most part (ie: I don't have set rituals, prayers, etc. ; I do what feels right in the moment).
